Tiger shoes, a traditional wearing for children in China's countryside, symbolizes good wishes of people to bring good luck to their children. Sun Jinglan, 81-years-old, and Li Xiuying of the same age, have been making tiger shoes for years in Liwa Village. Many parents have bought their makings for their fine work, expecting them to be auspicious. The artwork has been listed as the intangible cultural heritage of Anhui province in 2014.
