Smoke rises as locals make smoked bacon in Dazhou city, Southwest China's Sichuan province, Jan 20, 2015. An official from the city said one of the causes of the city's lingering smog is smoking bacon, a traditional method of preserving pork, especially before the Spring Festival, China's Lunar New Year.
