A view of Suoyang city ruins in Guazhou county, Northwest China’s Gansu province, Jan 22, 2015. The city ruins, included into the World Heritage list in 2014, are a unique historical testimony to Silk Road, an ancient trade route linking China with Europe through Central Asia for centuries. The city was firstly built in Han Dynasty (202 BC-220 AD), flourished in Tang Dynasty (618–907), and became a place where various ethnic groups inhabited from 1405 to 1524.
