Over 3,000 followers from the Chinese mainland and Taiwan celebrate the Jade Emperor’s birthday by burning incense and making offerings in Yuzun Palace of Zhangzhou city, East China’s Fujian province, Feb. 27, 2015. A ritual is also held in Yuzun Palace of Taiwan’s Yilan county, the 13th year that Fujian and Taiwan celebrate the Jade Emperor’s birthday at the same time. The Jade Emperor is one of the most important gods in Chinese folklore.
