Three elementary students ride two horses on their way to school in Longsheng county, Southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, March 10, 2015. The three students of Yao ethnic group, all 8 years old and from three families, live with their grandparents in a mountain village, 1,260 meters above sea level, as their parents migrate to work in other cities and only return once a year during the Spring Festival, China’s Lunar New Year. Since none of the grandparents knows motorcycle driving, students have to ride horse for about one and a half hour, under the escort of one adult from the three families each time, to finish the 8-kilometer-long journey from home to school in the past three years, sometimes taking short cuts on the mountain despite dangers. "We only want the child to study and turn out well so they can walk out of the mountain earlier," a grandparent says. (Photo/CFP)
