Cluster of ancient tombs discovered in Beijing (2/3)

A complex of 129 individual tombs dating from the Eastern Han (25-220 AD) to the Liao (907-1125AD) and Jin (1115-1234AD) dynasties has been discovered in Daxing district, Beijing. The whole complex is best-preserved and one of the largest in scale. With 54 tombs still waiting to be unearthed, it has been estimated that the excavation work will be finished by the beginning of June this year.
