Participants compete in the 2015 Jianzhen International Half Marathon in Yangzhou, East China’s Jiangsu province, April 19, 2015. The event is named in honor of Jianzhen, a Chinese monk from Yangzhou who propagated Buddhism in Japan in the 8th century. The event was first held in 2006 and gained IAAF Silver Label Road Race status in 2010. More than 35,000 runners, including 64 top foreign athletes, participated in the event.
