A participant prepares to drink wine during the reenactment of a traditional game as part of a calligraphy festival at the Orchid Pavilion in Shaoxing, East China’s Zhejiang province, April 21, 2015. The Orchid Pavilion is known for Wang Xizhi, a Chinese calligrapher who lived during the Jin Dynasty (265–420). Legend has that Wang and 41 other academics gathered at the Orchid Pavilion to compose poems, play music, and enjoy wine. In the game, a cup of wine floats on the stream and each participant drinks when it stops in front of him. Forty-two academics from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macao and Singapore attended the festival that also granted awards to calligraphy masters. (Photo: China News Service/Yuan Yun)
