Archeologists direct an excavation on a proposed expressway in Wannian county, East China's Jiangxi province, May 6, 2015. Relics including pottery pieces were found during the building of an expressway in mid-April. Archaeologists have dated the pieces to either the Shang (ca. 1600-1050 B.C.) or Zhou (ca. 1046-256 B.C.) dynasties, the dawn of Chinese civilization. More relics were found later and have proved to be valuable to research into the origin and development of Shang culture in the south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River.
