The carcass of a finless porpoise with no tale was found on a beach at a scenic spot in Rizhao City, China's Shandong Province, on May 9. It measured about one meter long and weighed about 35 kilograms. The finless porpoise, also known as the "giant panda of the water", has been living in the Yangtze River for 25 million years. The population of the creature has drastically decreased to less than 1,000 due to the impact of human activities. (Photo/China.org.cn)
