Indian pilgrims queue to enter Southwest China’s Tibet autonomous region via Nathu La Pass on June 22, 2015. China on Monday opened a new route along the Nathu La Pass for pilgrims from India traveling to Tibet, to further promote religious exchanges between the two countries. Hindus regard Tibet's Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar as holy religious sites, and pilgrims cross the border to pay homage at both between June and November. Forty-three pilgrims started a 12-day journey using the new path that makes it easier for Indian pilgrims. (Photo: China News Service/Cai Zhijian)
