The current status of the Great Wall in North China's Hebei province is not promising. According to an investigation conducted by China Great Wall Society in 2014, only 8.2 percent of the Great Wall constructed in the Ming dynasty (1368-1644) is currently in good condition. Bad weather, man-made destruction, and lack of maintenance are some of the major causes that are behind the damage to one of the greatest wonders of the world.
