Local residents have a tradition of swimming during the Qixi Festival, Chinese Valentine’s Day. The city’s sports bureau built three mobile pools using steel and wood along the Guijiang River and charged entrance fees of 1.5 yuan (23 US cents) for adults and 1.2 yuan for children. Qixi Festival is celebrated on the seventh day of the seventh month of the Chinese lunar calendar, and falls on Aug 20 this year. (Photo: China News Service/Huang Yaohui)
