Some organic units of the Army, Navy and Air Force of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) garrisoning in Hong Kong completed the 17th regular rotation on August 31, 2015. After the rotation, the number of personnel and equipment of the PLA Hong Kong Garrison will remain unchanged. This rotation is carried out according to the provision that “the PLA Hong Kong Garrison shall practice a system of rotation of its members” in the Law of the People's Republic of China on Garrisoning the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the order of the Central Military Commission (CMC) of the People’s Republic of China (PRC).
