A view of the Jiebei New Village in Danyang City, east China's Jiangsu Province, Dec. 30, 2015. The village, covering an area of 100 hectares, started construction in 2006 and had a total investment of 3.75 billion yuan ($580 million). The village for thousands of households also includes a lake of 21 hectares to wind through the residential buildings, community centers, bridges and pavilions, earning the name of “Oriental Venice”.
