Li Jingyang shows the wooden ox he created in his home in Yongji County, Northeast China’s Jilin Province. Li took eight years to complete the work known as the “wooden ox and gliding horse”, a historical reference to a type of wooden wagon with a free-standing cargo box. The design received a national patent last year. With just an elementary education, Li has long worked as a carpenter and has a passion for creative work. He also crafts actual-sized bicycles made of wood and wheelbarrows. (Photo/IC)
