Twenty-four men aged in their 60s carry a trunk while marching during an event to mark Cultural Heritage Day in Fuzhou City, the capital of East China’s Fujian Province, June 11, 2016. The men from Shanghukou Village in Xiaotao Town moved to the rhythm of a chant while carrying the trunk, which measured 12 meters long and 1.4 tons in weight. A total of 246 folk artists representing 26 forms of cultural heritage attended the event. In 2005, China declared the second Saturday of June would be celebrated as Cultural Heritage Day each year in order to promote the protection of the country’s rich cultural resources. (Photo/IC)
