To mark the 11th Cultural Heritage Day in China, a Li Yansheng painting exhibition was unveiled at Rongbaozhai on June 11, 2016. The event included a guqin performance of the classical piece Deer Belling, which was also the title of the exhibition. The State Council declared the second Saturday of June as China's National Cultural Heritage Day in 2005, to strengthen protection of the country's cultural heritage. This year’s theme is to “incorporate cultural heritages into modern life.” The exhibition gathered more than a hundred works from Li Yansheng. Thirty of them are portraits of celebrities, such as Bing Xin, Qi Gong and Henry Alfred Kissinger. The exhibition will end on June 20.
