Zhang Jing, 53, pole dances at a training center in Zhengzhou City, the capital of Central China’s Henan Province. Zhang had to retire two years ago when the state-owned company she worked for became bankrupt. Supported by her son, a dance trainer at a gym, Zhang started learning yoga before falling in love with pole dancing, usually working out with women about 30 years younger than her. Despite her age, Zhang practices hard and tries challenging body movements. In a recent pole dance championship in Beijing, she avoided the seniors age group, and still won one gold medal and one silver medal in the middle-age group. Zhang is not only able to keep in shape but has become a role model to others. She says nothing is too late to start if only a person has a dream. (Photo/IC)
