Ink painter Wen Wei's exhibition now held in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, combines her devotion to traditional Chinese painting with a love of Hangzhou's poetic scenery. The exhibition ends on Sunday. On display at the Tang Yun Art Gallery are her some 40 works comprising figure paintings, landscapes and calligraphic scrolls. They show a focus on the exchanges between ancient China and the world through the formation of Silk Road, of which the historic Hangzhou was a significant stop. Wen began the discipline of painting at 4 and obtains a doctor's degree at the Chinese National Academy of Arts in Beijing.
