Chinese contemporary art has been influenced by the Western art in forms and contents. However the recent years have witnessed the impact being lessening, and homegrown artists become more aware of their cultural roots, and are incorporating Chinese symbols and classical philosophies in creation.


Inheritances — The language in Contemporary Art, an exhibition being held at Parkview Green Art's two spaces in 798 and at the Parkview Green mall, shows how today's artists seek a sense of belonging and inspiration from the cultural traditions in their works.
