The city’s public sanitation authority announced the newly built facility, the first of its kind in Shanghai, has 10 toilet stalls that can be used by both males and females, and will be operational before November 19, which is World Toilet Day. Fu Liping, an official with the Shanghai Greenery and Public Sanitation Bureau, said the facility will mainly help women answer the call of nature in an area where there are many runners, strollers and passers-by.
