Located in the north of the Chengde Mountain Resort in Hebei Province,the Putuo Zongcheng Temple is a Qing Dynasty era Buddhist temple complex built between 1767 and 1771 during the reign of Emperor Qianlong (1735-1796) of the Qing Dynasty.The temple was built to celebrate Emperor Qianlong's 60th birthday and his mother's 80th.
