More than 100 tombs dating back to China’s Han dynasty Han dynasty (206 BC-220) in Ruzhou, Henan province were recently destroyed for the sake of real estate development -- an event which attracted a great deal of scrutiny, Xinhua reported on Dec. 25. Now that the tombs have been razed, a culture square will be built on the land they used to occupy. (Photo/Xinhua)
