Editor's note: In 2016, three Chinese cultural heritages were added to UNESCO's world heritage list: China's 24 Solar Terms, Shennongjia -- a nature reserve in central China Hubei Province, and Zuojiang Huashan Rock Art Cultural Landscape, art workds etched and drawn on high cliffs and hidden mountains in southern China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The newly added cultural heritages brought the Chinese items on UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage lists to 39 in total.
