A banyan tree grows on the Xing Pagoda at an elementary school in Anhai Town in Jinjiang City, East China’s Fujian Province. The pagoda is listed as a provincial cultural relic for it was the place where Zheng Chenggong (1624-1662), a Qing Dynasty naval general, who forced Dutch invaders to leave Taiwan in 1662, studied in his childhood. The tree is thought to be endangering the 16.6-meer-tall pagoda. (Photo/CFP)
