Xu Yaxin, a decoration art and design student from Wuhan Textile University, has recently painted a series of sketches focusing on traditional breakfast menu items in Wuhan. Using colored pencils and watercolors, Xu has made the local snacks come to life on paper, including re gan mian (hot and dry noodles), tofu skin, dumplings and deep fried bread sticks.
Netizens claimed: "I'm drooling! That looks so delicious!"
Xu said that as a foodie, she is conscious of each dish under her brush and she wants to express the experience of tasting each food.
