Song Daili, deputy political instructor for a SWAT unit in Suining City, Southwest China’s Sichuan Province, participates in a reality show organized by China’s Central Television and the Ministry of Public Security. Song won second place in a shooting contest in Sichuan in 2011. Some 3,900 police officers from across the country applied to be on the program, with only 28 admitted after a strict selection process. Wining participants include police officers with special talent and strengths such as shooting, driving and free combat.
