Huang Junling repairs broken pottery in her studio in Xi’an City, capital of Northwest China’s Shaanxi Province. A major of photography at university, she later developed an interest in Kintsukuroi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum.
