Three students studying in London have made a gelatinous sphere called Ooho that may revolutionize the way we drink water and dispose of plastic bottles—by eliminating them altogether. The Ooho globule is formed through a process called “spherification,” a methodology first pioneered in 1946 and still utilized by some chefs in modern cuisine. The bag-like containers are also incredibly cheap. It works a little like an egg yolk, which also holds its shape using a thin membrane. (Photo/Agencies)
