A woman tests the water at the Jesus Green pool in Cambridge. The lido on Jesus Green in the city centre is the longest outdoor pool in Europe and holds an incredible 2.4 million litres of water. It took around five days to fill the 91-metre long pool using a two-and-a-half inch wide hose, connected to a fire hydrant. The water is now being left to warm up to 15C before it opens for the season on May 13. The pool, which is 14 metres wide, was built in 1923 and in the past it was filled with water piped from the nearby River Cam.(Photo/Agencies)
