Huang Tao (alias) undergoes surgery to reduce his weight at the No.3 People’s Hospital in Chengdu City, the capital of Southwest China’s Sichuan Province, May 11, 2017. The 26 year old, a native of central Wuhan city, was 265 kilograms when he arrived in Chengdu in an ambulance three months ago. His weight dropped to 220 kilograms after receiving training to lessen the symptoms of respiratory failure and hypoxemia, a low level of oxygen in the blood.
