According to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, the cubs, born on April 24, are the first captive panda twins to arrive in 2017 across the globe. The mother panda, Zhi Zhi, refused to feed the cubs at first; however, with the help of experts at the base, the mother eventually accepted them.
