Chinese citizens suspected of telecom fraud and deported from Cambodia arrive at an airport in Changsha City, the capital of Central China’s Hunan Province, July 6, 2017. Chinese police sent a plane to pick the suspects up from Cambodia. The 74 deportees, including 21 women, were arrested on July 1 by Cambodian authorities during simultaneous raids on 12 locations. They were suspected of using VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol, a type of internet phone service) from Cambodia to threaten and extort money from victims in China. Police say over 800 people in more than 20 provinces and cities in China had been victims of the scam that involved 12 million yuan ($1.7 million). (Photo provided by Hunan police)
