This photo taken on Aug. 16, 2017 shows Lianbaoli community, where Japanese forces ran a military brothel during World War II, in Hankou District, Wuhan City, Central China’s Hubei Province. Japanese forces established up to 60 military brothels in the city after the occupation in 1938. Lianbaoli was built in the 1920s and was used as an employee’s dormitory for a Hong Kong insurance company. Jijingli and Lianbaoli are two of the best-preserved sites relating to the history of “comfort women”. (Photo/VCG)
