"Exercise Kowari", an annual survival training drill designed to build cooperation and trust between the Chinese, U.S. and Australian troops is coming to an end in and around the for-north Australian city of Cairns, in Queensland. 10 soldiers from each country are participating, mixed in three groups. The training activities include hiking, camping, sea kayaking and white water rafting. For the first time the Chinese People's Liberation Army is sending two female soldiers to the training, which first began in 2014 in the harsh Northern Territory Outback of Australia. "Exercise Kowari 2017" began on August 23 and is set to conclude on August 30. (Photo/Australian Defence Force provided to China Plus)
