Yu Xingyou, 82, works on a computer to edit his online family tree book in Chengdu City, the capital of Southwest China’s Sichuan Province. Yu says he started the project after he discovered he had a cousin, who had been separated from the family in the chaos of the 1950s and had since died. Yu now aims to build an online genealogy book for all with the surname Yu by using cloud computing technology. Yu also says he recovered from colon cancer in 2007 partly because of his positive attitude to life. (Photo/VCG)
