Traditional Chinese opera performers at a gala to celebrate the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival at the Jiangsu Center for Performing Arts in Nanjing City, the capital of East China’s Jiangsu Province, Sept. 22, 2017. More than 2,000 audience members enjoyed the grand show of operas in Peking, Kun, Xiju, Huaiju and other styles staged by famous performers. The Mid-Autumn Festival is a harvest celebration held on the 15th day of the eighth month on the lunar calendar, a full moon night, which will be Oct. 4 this year.
