Police and fishery officers release a Chinese sturgeon into the Yangtze River in Zhongxian County, Southwest China’s Sichuan Province, Sept. 24, 2017. A fisherman caught the adult fish, which is threatened with extinction in the Yangtze River and under first-class animal protection in China, and then handed it to local authorities. It measures 1.8 meters in length and weighs 50 kilograms. This is the first time in 30 years a wild Chinese sturgeon has been found in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. (Photo/VCG)
