Residents chat with each other on the Qingyang ancient street in Jiaoyuan Town of Xuan'en County in Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, central China's Hubei province, March 27, 2014. Qingyang street has a history of over 200 years. Its stilted houses of the Tujia ethnic group are well preserved. From 1743 to 1940, it was an important pass of salt-trading roads linking Hunan, Hubei and Sichuan provinces. The local government has begun to conduct maintainance work on wooden stilted houses since January 2013. (Xinhua/Yang Shunpi)
