Staff members unravel cables for China's manned submersible Jiaolong to make it dive into the sea for scientific research, July 16, 2014. Jiaolong and its support ship the Xiangyanghong 09 are on a scientific research voyage in the northwest Pacific Ocean, during which it will research cobalt-rich crusts and life forms inhabiting the bottom of the sea.
