Luo Wenhua, the director of the Institute of Tibetan Buddhist Heritage at the Palace Museum, shows findings on murals and clay sculptures from the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) at a Tibetan temple in Shiqu County, Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Southwest China’s Sichuan Province. Local monks say the temple was built in 1269 and changed from the Sakya school of Tibetan Buddhism to the Gelug sect.
