Chen Yabian, born in Dec. 1927, lived in Lingshui County, South China’s Hainan Province. She was forced into being a comfort woman for four years after she and other women were caught in 1942, when she was younger than 15 years old. Starting in 1995, Chen joined Huang Youliang in her attempts to sue the Japanese government. Chen died on May 11. (Photo: China News Service/Luo Yunfei)
