HK media mogul Shaw donates large sum for education development (2/10)

Photo taken in February 1990 shows the library built with donation of Hong Kong media mogul and philanthropist Run Run Shaw at Beijing Normal University in Beijing, capital of China. Shaw, aged 107, passed away at home in Hong Kong, south China, on Jan 7, 2014. Shaw was enthusiastic for charity and donated more than 10 billion Hong Kong dollars (about 1.29 billion U.S. dollars) to the Chinese mainland, with a large sum for the development of its education.
